In this Friday's interview "Academy Award-Winning Filmmaker Michael Moore on the Election, the Bailout, Healthcare, and 10 Proposed Decrees for the New President’s First 10 Days" on the "Democracy Now!" website, Michael Moore stated: "And if the majority of Americans end up voting for Obama on Tuesday, haven’t they essentially said that, actually, they like the idea of socialism."
Most Americans have not been paying attention to the recently increasing number of comments by Democrats about Socialism and what Obama called this week "fundamentally changing the United States".
All people I know that say they are voting for Obama, when asked what do you think about changing America to a Socialist government state categorically that they don't want that to happen. There is a huge disconnect between what the average American believes Obama is bringing to the White House and what is actually being promised by the Democratic Party.
